The easiest is to describe a use case. For compliance, messaging has to be end to end encrypted. Not guaranteed with email, but LiquidFiles private message is half way there. 1.) Dr. Sends a private message to patient 2.) patient retrieves message https secured Now the patient is stuck. They shouldn't just email back. So this is the feature request is a Private Reply: 3.) patient clicks link at bottom of private message (perhaps displayed if the message is sent with a checkbox checked of "allow reply") and the same form as "File Request" is shown but with a "Private Reply" title. Clicking Send file drops a private message back to the doctor.
Vote. I agree that would be a great future. LiquidFiles could be used for secure messaging in both directions with that!
I see that there is a label planned now. Can someone from Liquidfiles chime in and elaborate on this. Is there an eta? Because this is already asked more then a year ago. We can use LF to send confidential messages (gdpr) but the external party can't answer in a compliant way. A lot of times, they just respond with a reply to the first email (that states, they have a new message).
This feature is planned in some further major release. There is no exact date when it will be released.
Reply functions to Secure message has been added since the LF v3.4.0 https://man.liquidfiles.com/release_notes/version_3-4-x.html
