Not Planned Ability to export Message Log

Preferably with a date range. Is it possible to add it? Something simple like a .csv file?

The message list is a multidimensional table combining both messages and downloads. It's not possible to combine this into a simple csv file. The way to achive this is to use an external syslog server which would have all the required information.
