    Hello,
Is it possible to have an admin user that doesn't use a license. Basically just want to setup a standalone admin user to log into the system incase our LDAP authentication goes down. This user won't be used unless it's an emergency and even then we don't need the user to send any files, just administer the system.

    Hi,

Local User and all Admin's account takes license seat. This can't be changed. It's a bad idea to authenticate Sysadmins via LDAP.
There is suggested to disable LDAP authentication checkbox (Admin > Users > Edit > Use LDAP Authentication) for Sysadmins.
Although if you were in a trouble with LDAP and you could not login to LF, then there is possible to create a local sysadmin account by typing `ft add_admin` in the linux console, and use it for login and re-configure the system. Theoretically if you remember this option, this could be alternative solution if you don't want instantly keep a local sysadmin account which takes license seat.

    Cheers

    David

Ok, thanks for the quick response. We'll use the ft add_admin option. I've submitted a feature request for to have just a standalone Administrator account without the use of a license.
