When you select a folder to attach in the Outlook plugin, it grabs all files in that folder but doesnt select any subfolders. The plugin should allow you to select a folder with subfolders and upload everything as a zip to retain the directory structure.
Erdei Kismalac July 22, 2013 15:58 Good idea. Dan Sytsma January 20, 2014 15:45 I second this as I just had a user trying to add a folder with multiple sub-folders and not working. They were complaining since our old solution worked that way. Our work around is to zip the folder first and then send that but it would be nice if the plug-in would take care of it for the user and take the extra step out. Aurelien P January 09, 2015 14:30 +1 a user have requested this feature Rotork Controls September 23, 2016 17:54 The plugin already does this now. Eric Peterson October 26, 2016 00:02 No, the plugin allows you to upload the files within a folder (and subfolders) but it is one big pile of files no longer carefully organized into subfolders. You have to ZIP the folder and upload the resulting ZIP file if you want to maintain a folder (and subfolder) structure.
This would be an important feature for us that would probably convince me buy LiquidFiles now since the web application will probably never be able to do it without using something like java. At least via the outlook plugin the retaining directory structure feature would be available for users.
+1 - wonder if this ever made it into production - just tested in outlook client - older version - no change - only adds files within folders - doesn't retain structure - only way to resolve is zip before then send zipped structure- which is the solution proposed in 2016! v3.4.13 - Main Server version Outlook 2013 Plugin v2.0.114 see newer version is available - but no real difference expected v2.0.125
