When a user opens outlook for the first time after the liquid files plugin has been installed I would like for them to be automatically logged into liquid files and authenticated via LDAP. I realize this requires the server to be set to the correct address which I believe can already be done via a registry key.

The reason why we can't do single sign-on like that is because the LiquidFiles system is not part of the domain, which it really can't be since it's not running Windows.

LDAP happens between the LiquidFiles server and the authentication backend. It has nothing to do with authentication between the client and the LiquidFiles system. The specific technology that happens between the client and a server in that case is a Microsoftified version of Kerberos.
