The appliance will append the MD5 and SHA-1 hashes next to each item available for download in the notification email sent to internal or external addressees. This option will also be controlled by the Administrator of the device. This is to ensure that only those AllardSoft customers wishing to have the checksums displayed in the message can do so. This feature will be very valuable to those of us that require message authentication. In addition, when sending/receiving files over great distances, such as the United States to the Middle East, the message can be not only authenticated (provided by HTTPS), but validated upon retrevial. This will allow for a little extra customer confidence in the security and identity of the file transfer system being used.
