Id like an option to enable/disable automatic kernel updates (through yum update). Kernel updates can be tricky, as they can lead to audit issues and unexpectedbehaviorwithout running it through internal testing cycles.
Johan Allard October 24, 2012 13:29 The system comes as a virtual appliance and tracks the stable CentOS release updates. It is built to be self administrating. If we can't assume that the system is up to date there would have to be a lot more checks needed for the application itself, the kind of checks that would be needed for an app that's installed on a selectable operating system. Not for a virtual appliance. It's very unlikely that this will ever become a configurable option. The alternative is to not support updating the system at all, except for when the LiquidFiles system is updated and the only to the preset version. It's better that the system auto update itself.
