The Filetransfer Appliance will havetwo different levels of users registered in the system:rnrnStandard UsersrnAdvanced UsersrnrnThe two groups of users will have different settings for most configurable items in the system. For instance a standard user will not be able to change their settings and will have all of the settings that the Administrator currently sets for them - no change here. An Advanced userwll be able to override certain settings without being an Administrator of the device. In this case, an Advanced user may be able to override the allowed list of file extensions for their DropBox or for their own outgoing messages. Another example would the the file expiration countdown. An Advanced user should be able to override the Administrator settings to allow for file(s) to be avilable for a longer or shorter period of time. The Administrator, however, will be able to set a minimum and maximum threshold for this time while the Advanced user can only pick a time between those values. Following that example, an Advanced user should also be able to change the max file size that can be sent to their DropBox or attached in their own outgoing messages. But once again, the Administrator can set the minimum and maximum values and the Advanced user can only pick a number between the values that the Administrator created. Dividing the users into two groups like this allows for a minimal amount of delegation of authority, while still keeping the Administrator(s) of the device in control of everything. There are probably many other configurable items that can be delegated to Advanced users, in addition to the ones mentioned here. This will most certainly help out those of us that require delegation and control such as this.
